The Magic of Mexico
The Spanish word “Cantera” translates to “quarry,” a process of harvesting this stone much like our limestone line. The stone has been a staple of Mexican architecture for thousands of years, so naturally our travels have led us to Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende to witness the beauty and strength of ancient Cantera stone architecture.
Found in some of the country’s most recognizable architecture, the inspiration was endless. As we stood at La Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and heard the church bells chime, our excitement grew as we envisioned bringing this unique tile to the world at large.
