Our hexagon cement tile is one of the most versatile types of tile, perfect for most applications. From walls to backsplashes to flooring, our hexagon cement tiles can transform nearly any space. Some common areas for cement tile installations include kitchens, bathrooms, patios, backsplashes, shower walls, shower floors, and entryways.

Yes! Hexagon cement tile is great in wet applications when sealed properly with a penetrating sealer. Hexagon cement tiles are an excellent choice for bathrooms, shower walls, and shower floors.

While hexagon cement tile is suitable for wet locations, it shouldn’t be installed in exterior locations where it will be exposed to frost or freezing temperatures. Hexagon cement tile also shouldn’t be installed where it can experience very heavy loads, such as driveways or garage floors.

Our hexagon cement tiles are not fired in a kiln like most other tile types. They are made by hand, one at a time, using a hydraulic press.

Zia Tile’s hexagon cement tiles are handcrafted in Vietnam with the finest materials, honed and perfected by artisans using a technique first developed by French and Catalan craftsmen in the 1850s. Each piece is hand-poured into a mold, combining mineral pigments and cement, and then hydraulically-pressed to form.

The highly individualized, handmade process of making our cement tile means no two tiles are exactly the same. There are subtle variations in both color tone and pattern detail that instill more character into our cement tiles than other mass-produced, highly uniform tiles. Our cement tiles are perfect for environments that highlight craftsmanship and authenticity.

Zia’s hexagon cement tiles are initially sealed when produced to protect the tile during transit. That said, they must be sealed during installation to guard them fully against grout haze and moisture penetration. We recommend using 511 Porous Plus Sealer from Miracle Sealants, and the sealant must be applied twice - once before grout and then again after the grout is complete. For high traffic and commercial areas, we recommend a topcoat sealer for added protection.
