At Zia Tile, we have passion for all things terra cotta. Our three-dimensional Terra Form tiles are offered in unglazed stock colors and a rainbow of glazes. Terra Forms are perfect for room dividers, indoor and outdoor applications. They are crafted from locally sourced Spanish clays, mixed into molds, and high-fired in kilns first unglazed, then additional rounds if glazed. Where our Terra Forms come from.

The French and Catalans were the first to use the technique in the 1850's both in France and in Barcelona. The complex patterns used in the tiles are due to an interest in ancient cultures, most notably early Arab and Moorish art. As a result, the tiles spread throughout Europe as a high quality flooring material and then onto former European colonies in Latin America, North Africa, and Vietnam.

Crafted in Catalonia, in northern Spain, these handcrafted tiles are made from locally sourced clay, then hand-formed, and high-fired in kilns.
